The current population is 73,000 and is expected to grow to 82,000 by 2008.

Chilliwack's Municipal Airport is equipped with a 3,800 foot runway and can easily accommodate all light to medium sized propeller planes and some small jets. And, another hour to the west, Vancouver International Airport offers even more regular flights to Canadian and U.S. destinations.
